Synopsis / Summary / Plot

A+X #4 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Spider-Man and Beast suddenly find themselves in a future New York of decayed and overgrown building. They are set upon by zombies but a squad of soldiers comes to their rescue and escort them to a walled city. Inside they discover everyone looks like Beast! He is hailed as the Origin Maker, the hero who led the revolt against mankind in the name of the oppressed animals of Earth and who punished the humans by turning them into zombies. Queen Talia desires to mate with him to produce elite warriors; meanwhile, Spider-Man, as a hated human, is tossed in an arena with a giant cat-like monster. Beast fends off the Queen’s advances and when he learns where Spidey is, he hurries to the rescue. The Queen is insulted that he would choose a man over her; Beast replies that despite his appearance he has never stopped being a man. They are sent back to their own time wondering what would cause Hank to snap and lead a beast revolution….

Synopsis: Captain America visits a quiet suburban neighborhood to search for an underground A.I.M. weapons cache. He is accompanied by Quentin “Kid Omega” Quire, recommended by Wolverine to guard against any psychic defenses. The young telepath is openly contemptuous of Cap and refuses to accompany him into the tunnel. Cap triggers a mental trap and calls out to Quentin who enters Cap’s mind and helps fight off a swarm of M.O.G.O.D.s (Microscopic Oddities Generated Only for Disintegrations) with psychic military weaponry. After the battle, Quentin realizes that the rumors about Cap’s origin are true and Cap defends his choices; Quentin’s concern is that teaming up with Cap will cost him credibility in the eyes of his peers. So Cap returns him to the school, bound like a prisoner, to maintain his rebel image.
