Captain America: Steve Rogers #6 Review by (October 30, 2016)
Comments: A CIVIL WAR II tie-in. Several scenes parallel events in CIVIL WAR II #6, primarily Steve Cap's conversation with Miles Spidey. Rick Jones reminds everyone of the film MINORITY REPORT which also deals with the authorities being alerted to crimes that are about to take place and the moral issues involved.

Review: Another issue that adds some more dimension to the main story and continues to fill in the (fake) history of Captain America, Agent of Hydra. My question is: why are they going into such detail when it will all be trashcanned eventually? But for now, the story is cool and entertaining.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Captain America: Steve Rogers #6 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Prologue: 1928: Young Steven Rogers has been at the Hydra school for two years. Dr Fenhoff (the later Dr. Faustus) writes a report calling him a disappointment and recommending he be euthanized as he will never amount to anything....

At the Triskelion, the battle has been called off because everyone shared Ulysses' vision of Spider-Man (Miles Morales) killing Captain America (Steve Rogers) at the Capitol in Washington D.C. Iron Man Tony Stark and Captain Marvel Carol Danvers, leaders of the opposing factions are bickering. Steve steps in and chats with Miles, believing him when he says he means no harm, and allowing Thor to take him home....

1934: Steven escapes from the school but is found in the woods by the Kraken, “who help(s) people become who they are meant to be....”

Tony's faction regroups at one of Nick Fury's hidden bunkers. There Steve talks to Tony, trying to get his pal to consider his motives in this conflict, raising issues of control, trust, and paranoia. Tony takes off, as the traitorous Cap has succeeded in keeping Tony off-balance and questioning himself....

At the SHIELD Helicarrier, Maria Hill and Sharon Carter are bickering over the same issues when they are interrupted by Rick Jones who has located Miles Spidey's coordinates...Washington D.C....

1934: Kraken a/k/a Daniel Whitehall tells Steven of the importance of people working together to battle threats to civilization that come from within the system and he assures Steven that he trusts Elsa Sinclair, who saw greatness in Steven, persuading him to return to the school....

When Steve tells Erik Selveig of the latest developments, Selveig proposes that Steve kill Miles Spidey. Steve Cap announces his plan to go to Washington with Stark and the others; he knows he will not be in any danger on the morrow and that when his death comes, it will be for the glory of Hydra....
