Synopsis / Summary / Plot
The Bi-Beast welcomes Hulk, Doctor Strange and Namor to the floating island. But is attacked by the green goliath. The powerhouses trade blows until the Bi-Beast hits the Hulk out and down the island. But the curse brings the Hulk back, who continues the fight. Suddenly the Red Raven and his league of flying beings show up to stop the quarrel and ask the visitors to leave. Doctor Strange locks the Hulk inside the bands of Cytorak and explains the angry host that they can not leave because of the curse. The master of the mystic tells him that there must be a great danger to the entire world somewhere in the floating city, otherwise the curse would not bring them there. And Nighthawk, Valkyrie and Hellcat show up too thanks to a Papa Hagg' spell. The Raven accepts to look for that threat, and Strange frees the Hulk from the bands. But Jade Jaws knocks the "dumb magician" down with a blow that could have killed him! Namor also tries stopping the Hulk but without fortune. It's Valkyrie who puts sense into the emerald brain. They take Strange to a doctor but he's all right. Meanwhile, loyal followers of the Raven discover about the great threat and come back to palace to give the word. When the Defenders show up at the threat spot, they discover some kind of bomb that can not be stopped by magic of brute force. So Strange (already recovered), turns the Hulk into Bruce Banner whose genius could deactivate the artifact. But the curse makes Bruce turn back into his giant form. Strange deals with this transformation problem, giving Bruce enough time to solve the problem. But at the last second, Hulk wins over the battle of metamorphosis and smashes a delicate device that triggers the unwanted blast.
