Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Invincible Iron Man #106 Synopsis by T Vernon
An overwrought Jasper Sitwell holds a gun to Madame Masque’s head to force Iron Man to take action to reclaim Stark International from the hands of the villain Midas. The assembled heroes add some logical reasons why he should and Shellhead takes off in the direction of the factory. The rest follow, after expressing their disgust with Jasper’s methods.
Iron Man with the other two flying members of the team, Guardsman and Jack of Hearts, brave cannon fire to wreak havoc at the stolen facilities. The others arrive by car, heading into the jaws of death but Jasper swoops down in a SHIELD flying car to blast the big guns. Midas, watching on a viewscreen, dispatches the army of robots in Iron Man armors and the battle is on. In the deadly melee, first Guardsman then Jack goes down. A booby-trapped armor concusses the team on the ground. And finally Iron Man himself is overcome….
Epilogue: Marianne Rodgers arrives at the Stark Mansion; her plan? To kill Tony Stark….
