Annihilation: Ronan (2006 series) #3 synopsis by reviewer Rob Johnson
Rating: 4 stars

On the planet Godthab Omega on the edge of the Andromeda Galaxy on Annihilation Day + 95 the Kree Korath The Pursuer hears a message sent last issue by Tullk Ul-Zyn to Ronan The Accuser saying that his spaceship Torricane is under attack by multiple hostiles and warning him they're heading towards Kree space.

Ronan himself is battling Gamora who claims to have enhanced her powers (by science or magic donated by those she has given sanctuary as her Graces who Ronan has met in the 1st 2 issues). Their fight is devastating the surrounding town Abyss. But Ronan can't shake the feeling that he's come here for something more important - something to do with a witness. But the woman attacks again and he responds with a blast that tests the limits of his Universal Weapon.

We see Glorian exulting in this display of power which he is syphoning off for his own purposes. Behind him the Skrull Talos and the cyborg Devos are suspended upside down by energy shackles. He wants them to bear witness to the galaxy about what he will create. He releases some of the energy and a magnificent building assembles. Talos tells Devos he's heard tell of a Shaper Of Worlds who had an apprentice named Glorian. They parted ways and he assumes this is that Glorian.

Meanwhile the invading insectile army from the Negative Zone known as the Annihilation Wave is ravaging through the Skrull territory in the Andromeda Galaxy. It's leader Annihilus is currently on planet Gar-Gul in the Skrull netherlands when he senses something growing amidst his galactic devastation and he orders his troops to find it and destroy it.

Back on Godthab Omega Korath learns about Ronan fighting Gamora. Apparently all comms between here and Kree territory are down. Ronan's starslide spaceship is the only craft that could get there to warn them of the menace, but it will only answer to *his* commands. So K heads to Abyss in his own vehicle.

The pair are still fighting and Glorian's creation is expanding. The building has become a city and now the land around it is turning from desert to rivers and greenery. Ronan now renounces his role as the Kree Accuser and declares himself to be Ronan The Free. But his opponent now materialises an energy sword she calls Godslayer. We have never seen it before but she claims it has slain titans and immortals. The renewed clash powers the creation of more buildings and vegetation. Korath arrives and calls out to Ronan that he is needed. This stirs something within him and he remembers that he is here to clear his name as Ronan The Accuser. Godslayer and Universal Weapon collide in the biggest display of power yet and both combatants are stunned.

There have been many more spacecraft attracted to Godthab Omega and as their passengers disembark we see among them Gun Runner (wrongly coloured green), former Kree prime minister Zarek, the Dakkamite Quantum and the Elder Of The Universe Runner. Korath urges Ronan to forget Gamora and his quest for the witness Tana Nile who can clear his name. His Kree people need him to warn them about an invasion. At 1st Ronan resists but then he realises something or someone has been clouding his mind. He and Korath fly across the new land to find the source of the corruption. Behind them Gamora recovers and promises a rematch.

Our duo reach Abyss where more Elders Of The Universe have joined the throng:- Astronomer, Champion, Contemplator, Grandmaster and Judicator. But also the Annihilation Wave arrive and start to destroy Glorian's creation.

Annihilation: Ronan (2006 series) #3 Review by (July 4, 2026)
All the new arrivals to Godthab Omega only make a brief appearance here so I don't wish to expand on them.

Gamora's Godslayer sword hasn't been seen before, and she doesn't use it next issue or anywhere in the main Annihilation series. But she will have it in some Nova issues leading up to Annihilation: Conquest and she'll take it into Guardians Of The Galaxy.

The issue ends with Nova Corps database entries on Nebula, Stellaris (neither of whom appear here) and Glorian.
