Avengers Forever #6 Review by (June 3, 2022)
This issue continues Ghost Rider and the Deathlok's mission to recruit alternate Avengers.

Remember that King Killmonger specialises in destroying Wakandas and Asgards. From his homeland Wakanda he gets vibranium, and from the Asgard of his home timeline he got the Destroyer armour that can kill gods.

Earth-616's White Wolves and Dora Milaje are different than the versions here. The White Wolves or Hatut Zeraze were Wakandan secret police introduced in the 1998 Black Panther series. The Dora Milaje from the same series were the female bodyguards of the Black Panther, and they've made significantly more apps than the Wolves.

Next issue we'll see a multiverse of Steve Rogers.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Avengers Forever #6 Synopsis by Rob Johnson
This issue is set on an alternate Earth which was conquered by King Killmonger of the Multiversal Masters Of Evil when T'Challa was a baby. He specifically attacked Wakanda to get the future Avenger, whose parents saved him by sending him off in a vibranium rocket. In the Wakandan spirit land Djalia we now learn that the spirits of all alternate Wakandas communicate with each other and know that King Killmonger seeks out Black Panthers across the multiverse.

This T'Challa lands on Chandilar, the Shi'ar throneworld, and many years later he's living in the sky-slums which house immigrants fleeing from KK's galactic fleet. Some of his War Panthers have come here and are 'interrogating' the locals about the Wakandan refugee. 1 of their victims falls from a slum building to certain death (from disintegration by the Shi'ar ground-dwellers' shock shields), but she is saved by a web created by T'Challa going by the masked alias Sky Spider.

He attacks the mercenaries (dressed like Earth-616's Wakandan White Wolves) but doesn't fare too well. However Killmonger is in a hovering spacecraft above and decides to make sure of his foe's death by destroying the whole planet with blasts from the helmet of his Destroyer armour. But T'Challa's vibranium armour saves his life.

T'Challa follows Killmonger's trail using damaged spaceships he's left in his wake. His armour has an AI he calls Dora Milaje. He's on 1 spacewreck that's run out of anything salvageable including oxygen, and he's gauging a space leap (with rocket boots) to another wreck nearby. He makes it and finds it full of dead Shi'ar. Later he's on another wreck containing War Panthers, 1 of whom is still just about alive. Here he can replenish his stock of vibranium. The WP begs not to be left here to die, so T'Challa takes him with him on his next leap - to die in airless space.

Later he's standing on an asteroid that approaches Killmonger's ship. He leaps on board as the Vibranium Man and faces King Killmonger. The armoured foes battle. The vibranium suit again proves resistant to the Destroyer blast, but KK's (vibranium?) axe is able to shatter its faceplate. The villain hurls T'Challa (and axe) out into space to fall into the local star.

3 days later Ghost Rider (Robbie Reyes of Earth-616), Ant-Man (Tony Stark of Earth-818) and 1 of Avenger Prime's army of Deathloks turn up in the spacefaring timeline-hopping Hell Charger car following T'Challa's energy signature. Stark claims that the trail leads into the star, so GR aims his car into the sun ... and his chains retrieve a vibranium shell which T'Challa cuts his way out of. And he claims that his sojourn in the sun have transformed him into the Star Panther.
