Captain America #8 Review by (June 28, 2013)
Review: Isn’t this over yet? Cap with Daddy issues confronts Ian with Daddy issues and they conveniently kill the kid off. Next up: Steve has a breakdown! Can we move this along a little faster, please? JRJR’s art is starting to be the best thing about this series.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Captain America #8 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Captain America is beaten savagely by the brainwashed Ian and a hulking Cap clone, as they bring up all his doubts and insecurities to torture him psychologically as well as physically.

Arnim Zola dispatches his mutate minions to invade the real world, killing and destroying, and carrying rifles that fire the Zola Consciousness to assimilate prominent humans.

Jet Black, converted to the cause of good by Cap, frees the captive Phrox but as she leads them to safety she is confronted by her father—and she attacks….

At Ian mercy, Steve appeals to him to break his conditioning and choose who he wants for his father: Zola or Steve. Just as he calls Steve "dad," he is shot by Sharon carter and sent tumbling into the fiery river….
