Giant-Size Invaders (1975 series) #2

Prince Namor the Sub-Mariner, Human Torch, and Miss America escort a plane carrying Prime Minister Winston Churchill to a secret meeting in Upstate New York with President Franklin D. Roosevelt. But Namor grows disgusted as a king in his own country to be playing bodyguard to two other heads of state so he dives into the Hudson River to cool off. The plane lands and FDR with Captain America by his side greets his friend Winston and invites him to ride in his specially made automobile to the house. Roosevelt’s legs are useless because of his polio so the car was modified to be controlled with Roosevelt’s hands only. He drives off recklessly though the woods, with the heroes and the Secret Service Agents struggling to keep up….

Meanwhile, a pair of Nazi agents have crept into the woods and take some pills given them by Hitler himself. The medication causes them to transform into giants who ambush the President’s car when it arrives. But Human Torch and Miss America are right behind the leaders and give battle to the Nazi giants. The giants overpower the two heroes and go after Churchill and Roosevelt, whose car is stuck in a hole. Captain America arrives to distract the bad guys, while FDR gets his car out of the hole and it zips into the river. Namor leaps out to battle the bad guys now and he also pushes the car back onto the road. Torch puts a ring of fire around the giants who suddenly contort and die in agony, the side effect of the drug that made them big, a detail not shared with them earlier. The Invaders ensure that the world leaders are okay and Churchill make his famous quip, "Nothing in life is so exhilarating as to be shot at without result."
