Guardians of the Galaxy #4 Review by (June 30, 2013)
This is just a filler issue, waiting for Angela to arrive next time. Tony's new communicator is probably the way he keeps kin touch with the Avengers (in Av#12-13 at least) and with Mr Fantastic in New Avengers #7. In this issue he can see and hear Pepper, but she can only hear him. Presumably he figures out how to use it properly before contacting the Avengers and Mr Fantastic. In Avengers he can even control a remote Iron Man suit. I don't think Maxilin the Accuser has anything to do with the Kree Accusers like Ronan.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Guardians of the Galaxy #4 Synopsis by Rob Johnson
The Guardians are celebrating getting through the last 3 issues, and especially toasting their saviour Groot (last issue). Tony Stark and Gamora flirt, and wind up in bed together. When Gamora leaves him, Tony is battered and worn out.

Back in the bar Drax, Groot, Rocket Racoon and Star-Lord are recognised by some Spartax troopers, who try to arrest them for various things they did in the preceding issues. Peter Quill leaves Drax, Groot and Rocket to have fun with the foe, while he chats up a local girl.

Earlier Rocket gave Tony a device with which he can communicate from deep space with anyone on Earth. So he calls up Pepper Potts. He asks her to get the Avengers to check that everything's OK in London (after the events of #2). He says he's not coming back until he can figure out how to protect Earth from the bad guys out here.

While this has been going on, unarmed Gamora has been blasted from behind and kidnapped by a bounty hunter called Maxilin the Accuser. When she awakes they fight a lot. Eventually she gets his gun off him, but it is keyed to his DNA and shocks her when she tries to use it. Maxilin takes aim, there's a shot, but Gamora isn't dead.

This is because her fellow Guardians have turned up to find her, and Rocket shot Maxilin with one of his very big guns. Groot picks up Gamora, and they go to find Stark and leave the planet before anyone comes after them. Behind them Maxilin isn't as dead as they thought.
