Synopsis

Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #275 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 3 stars

At the edge of the desert, Hulk finds only silence—Betty Ross and Rick Jones are gone. Driven by desperation, he storms Gamma Base, where Bereet’s techno-art device is the only thing keeping Rick alive. In a moment of clarity, Bruce harnesses gamma tech to purge the radiation from Rick’s body, saving his friend’s life.

Rick rejoices at Banner’s newfound control—but Betty doesn’t. Her love for Bruce cannot survive the shadow of the Hulk. She wants the monster gone, forever.

Before emotions settle, chaos erupts. Jackdaw infiltrates the base and unleashes Megalith, a towering war machine buried in secret chambers. Hulk confronts it, but Banner’s restraint proves futile. Megalith crushes him with ease.

Only by surrendering to the full fury of the Hulk can Bruce turn the tide. In a seismic clash, Hulk obliterates Megalith. Jackdaw flees, reporting her failure to her master—the Leader, who watches and waits.
