Rating: 4 stars

In a groundbreaking procedure, Doc Samson succeeds in separating Bruce Banner and the Hulk into two distinct beings. But the victory is short-lived.

Bruce, physically and mentally shattered by the process, falls into a deep coma and is rushed to the hospital. Meanwhile, the unconscious Hulk—now truly mindless—is taken into custody by Clay Quartermain and SHIELD.

For the special marvelite in you

Fearing the uncontrollable nature of the creature, SHIELD decides to eliminate the Hulk. Doc Samson, conflicted by the ethics of their plan, intervenes and secretly frees the monster.

But the decision proves disastrous. The Hulk awakens in a state of pure instinct and rage, attacking SHIELD operatives and killing several in the chaos.

Horrified by the carnage and his own role in unleashing it, Doc Samson vows to make things right. He takes full responsibility and swears to hunt down the Hulk—even if it means killing him.
