Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #438 Synopsis by Mark Zieba
Banner survives the grenade blast only by turning into the Hulk, but the shards in his brain could kill him if he reverts back into Banner. When the Headshop, still accompanied by Betty, reveals that they rescued the Hulk so that he could help them get revenge on the Leader for what he did to their bodies, ol green genes tells them that the Leader is dead, but remembers that the Leader had equipment that can help get the shards out of his brain. With no regard to Bettys safety, the Hulk hurdles himself through the ceiling, and heads toward Freehold, the Leaders former residence. As the Hulk is passing by Mount Rushmore, an explosion destroys it, knocking him down in mid jump. Watching the destruction on a computer screen is Omnibus, who is simultaneously destroying the Great Wall of China, laughing to himself at how well his plan goes as he appears to transform into the Leader.
