Incredible Hulk #711 Review by (December 20, 2017)

Comments: “Marvel Legacy.” Yes, Hulk's climactic confrontation with Thor is designed to echo Thor's confrontation with Hulk in THOR: RAGNAROK.

Review: The excitement continues as Hulk smashes more monster and Amadeus Cho tries to hold onto his humanity while encased in the body of the Hulk. A crisis is brewing, as he will soon have to decide whether cutting loose of keeping control is the best thing to do to win. And if Thor is the fourth level, what could be the fifth? C'mon, it's going to be the Warlord himself because by that time we'll be dying to see him get his head busted for him. Another cool comic from the Marvel Legacy brand.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #711 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

In the arena for the second round of the Warlord's Gauntlet, Hulk (Amadeus Cho) finds himself facing a giant fighting robot with Elder Sharn and her sons bound to its shield.. He balks at doing anything to endanger the innocent though Headman Bahng insists he must be ruthless to win the Gauntlet. Hulk chops the shield arm off the robot then blasts the rest of it with his gun. Bahng runs onto the field against the rules and is shot down by the Warlord's guards....

Elsewhere, Lickspit is trying to bring through the portal anyone who can defeat the Hulk, killing those who are vulnerable to his (Lickspit's) attacks....

Back at the Clan Doka'abi camp, the dying Bahng says his farewells, names Chak the new headman, and advises Hulk to never hold back. Sharn reminds him that if he hadn't held back, she and her sons would be dead. A messenger from the Warlord arrives with a request for Chak and the Hulk to appear before him. At a feast, Hulk declines to eat, not trusting the Warlord. The villain wants to know why Hulk has allied himself with those weaklings, explaining that he is the Worldbreaker because he fears nothing. Hulk declines Chak's suggestion that he kill the Warlord and his guards right then because he (Hulk) doesn't kill. But Hulk does announce that he is the real Worldbreaker and if the Warlord refuses to uphold his part of the bargain should the Hulk win the Gauntlet, he will kill every one of them. The Warlord thinks he's bluffing and laughs Hulk out....

For the third level of the Gauntlet, Hulk battles and defeats a giant scorpion. The Warlord summons Lickspit but his minion is busy, finally finding someone who might be able to defeat Hulk.....

The fourth level has Hulk facing a mystery opponent—then he recognizes his friend Thor Odinson, now his enemy....
