Police have surrounded the Stark plant where Iron Man has gone in after the icy villain Blizzard. Happy Hogan, having rushed over from the hospital, is highly concerned once he learns his wife Pepper has also entered the building. Meanwhile inside, Blizzard is gloating that he has killed Iron Man by freezing him solid. He then reveals that he is Gregor Shapanka, the scientist who was fired by Tony Stark who sought revenge as Jack Frost (TALES OF SUSPENSE #45); he improved his suit in prison, escaped, and now plots world domination by means of the weather-controlling Climatron. The baddie then easily ice-blasts his way past the police outside and escapes. Inside, Pepper realizes that Iron Man is still alive and with a little prompting she plugs him into the generator which melts the ice off the hero and recharges his power cells. Tony and Pepper make up from the spat last issue and Shellhead grabs a piece of equipment and dashes after his enemy. He finds Blizzard scooting over Long Island Sound on an ice-ramp generated as he sails along. The fight is more violent this time so Blizzard overturns a sailboat with two kids in it. To save them, Iron Man smashes the Climatron in the villain’s hands and raises the kids’ boat so they can get away. Turning his attention back to Blizzard, the Armored Avenger dodges deadly ice-darts and seizes his foe, hooking him up to the mini-generator he brought along. It shorts out Blizzard’s suit and he turns the luckless baddie over to the police.
