Planet Hulk: Worldbreaker (2023 series) #1 Review by (October 22, 2025)

Review: For those who loved the original PLANET HULK epic, here’s a sequel no one asked for, set one thousand years later but still featuring Hulk, Amadeus Cho, and She-Hulk who are all revealed to be effectively immortal. And what are they doing with their immortality? Mostly moping around. Amadeus thinks the Hulks have messed up the world, Jen helps where she can, and Bruce is a recluse. The plot takes off when the leader of the Shadow People (the gray ones like Caiera) also decides that the Hulks have messed up the world and her idea of a response is genocide. And so the Amadeus, Jen, and Bruce mostly mope around, trying to decide whether to do anything about it.

This miniseries is well-written and the art is very effective…it’s just miserable. The Hulks mope around until they decide they must do something about it and it all leads to Hulk punching the ground and making everything nice again. Really, who asked for this?

Comments: The world in this story has been dubbed Earth-30356. The original PLANET HULK storyline was in INCREDIBLE HULK (1999) #92-105. Second story: First appearance of the Bureau of Alien Neutralization. We are referred to GAMMA FLIGHT (2021) for details on Skaar’s career up to this point. Final appearance of Skaar as of this writing; it certainly seems that Marvel had plans for a new series for him.
