The Mighty Thor #10 Review by (February 9, 2013)
Review: Okay, the story is finally going but so many characters need to be kept track of that few have much to do. This issue contains the only insight into Tanarus as we learn Ulik is unable to disguise his trollish nature. All plot and little characterization, otherwise.

Comments: The cover carries the “Shattered Heroes” banner.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

The Mighty Thor #10 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Thor recovers some of his memory and he frees one of his companions as the ark of dead gods heads further into the mouth of the Demogorge….

In Asgardia, All-Mother Freyja asks Heimdall what he sees in their future; he responds by telling her that assassins will be after her. She vows to remain unafraid. Heimdall leaves the throne room and heads to the chamber where Tanarus is feasting and making crude sexual remarks to Sif. He wants to know why he cannot see the Thunder God in his vision; the enraged Tanarus knocks him to the floor and hits him savagely, then stalks off demanding that Sif follow. She refuses….

Outside the city Loki and the Silver Surfer are bemused by the stick which transformed into the hammer Mjolnir (last issue). The Surfer tries to lift it and is frustrated that he cannot. The hammer suddenly shoots into space to seek out its owner and the Surfer pursues it but is unable to follow past a certain point. Mjolnir lands in Thor’s hand and he recovers his full strength and memory…

In Asgardia, the All-Mother convenes the Congress of Worlds with representatives of the Nine Worlds in attendance. She does not see Heimdall but Tanarus assures her that if anything threatened the Queen he would be present….

Geirrodur the Troll King and Karnilla the Norn Queen delight in how their scheme is progressing. As Karnilla, secretly in her cave in the wilderness disguised as Crone of the Weird Sisters, gloats over how easily the other two were fooled, Kelda comes in and realizes the truth….

In Broxton, Dr. Eric Solvang offers Don Blake a cane to replace the one which was stolen from him. An angry and jealous Don stalks out….

Thor frees his other companion from her bonds and leads them to find other lost gods—into the mouth of the Demogorge….
