Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Thor #347 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Thor and Roger Willis arrive in the Cotswolds, England, and enter the castle of Faerie to rescue the captive Melodi (Lorelei in disguise). They battle water elementals and Thor smashes through the great gates and cuts through the defenders. There he confronts Malekith who holds Melodi over a pit of elementals. The Thunder God, unaware he is under the power of Lorelei’s love potion, dashes after them and is attacked by the giant warrior Algrim the Strong….

Subplots, grouped in one place: In the desert, Balder battles a giant Sand Devil to rescue and woman and the assassin Agnar tosses the hero his sword to even out the contest. Balder slays the beast and the woman whisks him off to her realm where she reveals herself as one of the Norns, with a message for the hero. In Asgard, Odin puts the Warriors Three in charge of the defenses for the coming war.

At Malekith’s command, a trap door is opened and Thor and Algrim are dropped into a fiery pit. The villain then takes the Casket of Ancient Winters from the captive Roger. Malekith then blinds Roger with a spell and drives him off into the caves. The Dark Elf then plans to open the Casket to unleash chaos across Earth to prepare for its invasion by Surtur….
