In Stoneridge, New Mexico,
a group of residents are fighting a court order evicting them from the town
which has been condemned. The confrontation between police and the townspeople
is suddenly interrupted by the appearance of the huge green dome, killing
anyone who touches it and fusing the townspeople into a huge multi-headed
monster which crushes the Sheriff….
Inside the dome, Kate
Waynesboro explains to the Warbound that the Leader is one of Hulk’s deadliest
enemies and he has channeled Hiroim’s power to create a giant dome of gamma
radiation. Hiroim destroys the generators but the Leader tells him that any smashing
they do will only make Gammaworld stronger before teleporting away. The Army,
with tanks, fires upon the Warbound who warn them. And then giant green
monsters attack the army and the Warbound fight the monsters to save the
humans. When the battle is over, Commander Phillip Katapang tries to arrest the
Warbound but Elloe Kaifi tells the commander to make a choice: keep regarding
the Warbound as his enemies or help them rescue the people in the nearby town
from the real monsters…
…so the town where the
people and police are fighting off the giant green bugs are suddenly aided by
the Warbound and the Army and the battle is over in minutes, the people
grateful for the help of the aliens. But Kate has a warning: exposure to the
radiation from the dome will likely kill everyone within twenty-four hours. She
approaches Hiroim and asks him to see if he can use his powers of channeling
tectonic energy for a more positive purpose; she lends her support and he
creates a tunnel through the dome. The people nervously move through to safety
as Brood locates more people hiding in the dome, ushering them to safety. And
then the tunnel shakes, the Warbound are struck down and the huge fused
monster, Horde, stops them from leaving….

Synopsis
At the Negative Zone
prison, SHIELD Agent Kate Waynesboro asks Miek the weaknesses of his comrades
in Hulk’s Warbound, this time choosing Hiroim the Shamed. Miek relates how he
was shamed. During the war with the Spikes, Hiroim of the Shadow People was
forced into an alliance with King Angmo who had been persecuting Hiroim’s
people. They were attacked by Angmo’s rebellious soldiers who had killed the
Shadow People and now Hiroim was bound to fight for the King. Eventually Hiroim
came to enjoy being the King’s most loyal soldier. After the war was over, the
King had one more task: to assassinate the King’s own son but Hiroim could not
bring himself to kill a child so he was disgraced and the kid grew up to be a
violent sadistic ruler. Such was the earlier result of Hiroim breaking his
oath….
