New recruits arrive at the Nazi stronghold called
Wolfsschanze; Commander Witt addresses them, telling them they will become more
than men for the cause. The witch Ros is present to oversee the project. The
camp doctor objects but he is overruled. As a test, a soldier taken at random
is injected with the serum and he transforms into a werewolf….
Meanwhile outside the bunker, Dum Dum Dugan and the Howling
Commandos (Rebel Ralston, Junior Juniper, Gabe Jones, Dino Manelli, Izzy Cohen)
are in shock on seeing Captain America transformed into a werewolf. Dugan aims
his rifle at the monster but hesitates before punching the creature. The
werewolf states that he ordered Dugan to kill him but Dugan reminds him he
takes his orders from Nick Fury. Dugan again raises his rifle and
hesitates—then a woman emerges from the woods and shoots Cap, shouting that they
need silver bullets. The Howlers train their guns on her, suspecting she’s with
the Nazis. And she is surprised to find the werewolf is Captain America and
that he can talk. Cap surmises that his super-soldier serum has allowed him to
retain his human mind and the ability to talk. She introduces herself as
Francine “Frankie” Binoche of the French Resistance and has been trying to get
word of the weird experiments at Wolfsschanze to the General. Cap says they
must destroy the lab and he will do it himself if he must. Dugan calls him a
glory hound and the Howlers all vote to join him….
The lead wolf from the earlier attack on the Howling
Commandos transforms back to his human form and is taken back inside where he
reports seeing Captain America. Commander Witt orders that the werewolf serum
be administered to all soldiers. The doctor is worried about running out but
Ros promises to supply the blood they need, slicing her tongue with a long
knife. And so all of the Nazi soldiers are transformed into werewolves with
orders to kill Captain America….
