The President of the United States is coming to UCLA to honor
the Champions for their part in freeing the world from the hypnotic control of
Doctor Doom. The Secret Service is trying to ensure safety while Hercules
rattles Agent Spooner with his insistence that the Service is not needed
because Hercules himself is enough. The rest of the team (Black Widow, Ghost
Rider, Angel, Iceman, and Darkstar) arrive to offer to help Spooner. The agent
has just received a Code: Jade, a possible sighting of Bruce Banner, and asks
them to handle it. Angel flies over the highway to find whether it is indeed
Banner in a particular car; he is greeted by Hulk smashing out of the car and
contacts the rest of the team. He is told to stall Hulk until the others can
get there. Angel tries so Hulk hurls a car door at him, knocking him through
the window of a church, interrupting a wedding. Hulk remembers what he was
doing so he picks up the car. The Champions arrive. Iceman freezes Hulk in a
block of ice which works for about two seconds. Ghost Rider’s blast of Hellfire
misses. Black Widow sprays tear gas in Hulk’s eyes while Herc pummels him. Hulk
kicks Herc away so Natasha coordinates the team in an attack. Hulk, angry now,
puts down the car and slams his fists into the ground until no one is moving.
He then picks up the car and leaps away. Angel follows to discover Hulk landing
at the ER to Cedar-Sinai hospital, taking a woman out of the car and handing
her to the medicos; she tells them she is having an attack of appendicitis….
Later, the Champions visit the woman who explains she is
Jennifer Walters, Bruce Banner’s cousin; they were out for a drive when, stuck
in traffic, she began to experience pain. The crisis caused Bruce to Hulk out
and rush her to the hospital. Herc wants to know why Hulk didn’t tell them…a
frosty Jen responds, “Did you ask?”
That evening, Natasha and Herc ponder the lessons learned and
Herc hopes that someday he may make amends….

Assembled in the wilderness of Sakaar, Hulk rests with his

challenging him, which confuses Miek who sees no one for Hulk to be talking to.
Banner witnesses Hulk’s dream about Jarella and being hailed a hero on her
world of K’ai. Then a giant Banner reaches through the roof and carries Jarella
off, reminding Hulk that she fell in love with Banner in Hulk’s body and they
fly away. Hulk hears various heroes laughing at him, including the Illuminati.
So he tears Iron Man in half and a brawl ensues, Hulk and his Warbound against
the heroes. Hulk chases Jarella but she disappears and Banner reminds him that
she is dead and there is no place for them on any world so he offers to repair
the Illuminati’s ship to go to the planet they intended him to reach. But Hulk
points out that it is Banner who is all alone—but Banner reminds him they have
each other. Miek awakens to see Banner where Hulk was sleeping previously but
