Jude the Entropic Man) are at the beach on A.I.M. Island when they detect the coming of
entropy….
Aboard the SHIELD Helicarrier Iliad, Director Maria Hill
is arguing with MODOK over whether the intel he revealed was enough to
justify granting him immunity; he demands a lab so he can start making science
for SHIELD….
On A.I.M. Island, the Secret Avengers (Black Widow,
Nick Fury Jr., Hawkeye) are now free and fighting their way through an army of
A.I.M. Agents. The Scientist Supreme (Andrew Forson) is notified of these
developments and rushes to the control room, leaving Mockingbird alone in the
lab. Hawkeye finds her and she confesses to killing Taskmaster. Hawkeye
contacts Fury with the news but the plan goes forward. Hawkeye helps the
injured Mockingbird to safety though her memory is so bad that she doesn’t know
who he is. Widow and Fury face the Shang-Chi Adaptoid. It challenges them to a
martial arts duel. They draw their guns and shoot it to pieces. Its remote
controller starts to activate its self-destruct mode but Mentallo hits him over
the head. The Secret Avengers assemble at the A.I.M. sub which is an
experimental model which one person can operate—and Black Widow is that person.
Yelena Belova, the Super-Adaptoid, steps out of the shadows and stops
Mockingbird at gunpoint; Bobbi attacks her and they roll out of sight of Forson
and his gunmen. Hawkeye is shot in the shoulder, Widow and Fury fire on the
A.I.M. soldiers. Forson tells his sniper to shoot Mockingbird when she comes
back into view; she stands and the sniper shoots her down. The sniper turns his
gun on the others and Fury kills him with a shot. The Avengers board the sub
and take off. Clint cradles Bobbi’s body in his arms and then suddenly the
Camotech device shuts down, revealing that the dead woman is Yelena Belova….
