Synopsis

Wolverine (1988 series) #144 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 2 stars

This is the story of how Wolverine got his first costume (from Jason Hudson and his wife Heather, who are Vindicator and Guardian respectively). It also tells his first mission: confront terrorists. While Logan is fighting them, the Leader kidnaps him. Hercules and Karkas, a red-skinned alien, are captives of the villain as well. The Leader wants them to kill the Hulk. Logan frees them all, and all defeat the Leader Humanoids. Wolverine goes after the Leader, causing the spaceship to crash. The heroes survive.

Back in Department H’s headquarters, Wolverine offers to capture the Hulk (which occurs in The Incredible Hulk #181).

Wolverine told this to Dum Dum Dugan on board a SHIELD plane, right before he gave it another try to capture the Hulk. Logan jumps off the plane, and the Hulk is ready for battle.

Wolverine (1988 series) #144 Review by (February 15, 2010)
This story continues in Hulk (vol. 3) #8. Wolverine is actually a Skrull who took over Logan's life for some time.
