Daredevil and Psylocke are fighting on the rooftops of New York. Both feel their cause is just. The X-Man's fighting style reminds DD of Elektra, another ninja assassin who was trained by the Hand. He mirrors her every move to not let her gain an advantage so she switches to a mental attack but is overwhelmed by the input from his hyper-senses. DD is quick to gain the upper hand with a billy club and a kick. But she is equally fast in grabbing his foot and swinging him against a wall. They exchange blows but then DD slips away but leaves a trail of blood spots. Psy hunts him across the rooftops until he drops on her from 1 of the ubiquitous wooden water towers. But he accidentally kicks her off the roof and dives after her to grab her and save them both by swinging on his billy club line to crash through a window. She hates to take advantage of a good deed but she gets the drop on him and thrusts her psychic knife at him to render him unconscious. But she hesitates as he asks her what the 5 X-Men with Phoenix power are going to do to the Avengers? Round them up and exile them to an island? Then he gets away leaving her questioning her motives.

Story #2The mighty Thor vs Emma Frost

Synopsis
Emma Frost and Thor face each other across the deck of a helicarrier(?) over Ukraine. The Asgardian Thunder God feels the heat from his Phoenix-powered adversary, but it's as nothing compared to the Fire Demons of Muspelheim (or the cold of the Frost Giants of Jotunheim). For her part Frost is used to bending males to her will. Thor asks her to surrender because he hesitates to fight a woman. But her taunts enrage him into charging like a bull and she attempts to take over his mind. But she's never tried that with the mind of a god before! He strikes her with his hammer Mjolnir and the blow sends her through the carrier to land on a building below. He flies after and finds her in a pile of rubble. But Emma has switched to her diamond form and stops a 2nd hammer blow. More taunts enrage him further and his next strike shatters the diamond. Some of it is sent up and out into space ... from where it rains down on him and the rest of her broken body. As he rises from that assault he sees her diamond body reform. And then a series of punishing blows leaves Thor unconscious and Emma walks away.
