Synopsis

Immortal Hulk #47 synopsis by Peter Silvestro
Rating: 4 stars
Hulk and Red Harpy battle the Avengers (Captain America, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Blade) on the streets of Manhattan, covered live on TV news. Then Gamma Flight (Puck, Doc Samson, Titania, Absorbing Man) teleport in, accompanied by Jackie McGee, Charlene McGowan, and the mutated Rick Jones. They want to resolve the matter peacefully but the Avengers aren’t listening. McGowan shoots at Captain Marvel with a biodata measuring device, which teleports Carol to New Mexico. Thor seems particularly angry and he destroys Hulk’s fist with Mjolnir; Hulk wraps the shredded part of his arm around Thor’s head and regrows the arm, suffocating the Thunder God. Black Panther leaps in and cuts Hulk’s arm off, then digs his way into the severed limb to free Thor while Hulk again regrows the arm. And then Rick Jones calls out to Cap—and Cap recognizes his old sidekick and is horrified. Black Panther again spears Hulk to the ground and She-Hulk, in a split-second decision, sides with Hulk and thunderclaps her teammates away while McGown teleports them all to a secret facility in Brooklyn. And then to everybody’s shock, Hulk and Red Harpy start kissing….

Immortal Hulk #47 Review by (June 2, 2021)

Review: More extreme violence with a twist: the issue is seen through She-Hulk’s eyes. Jen is nearly overwhelmed by the aura of chaos Hulk gives off and is mentally caught in the conflict between her team and her family. Her decision may have interesting repercussions but the present issue is full of nightmarish combat violence, a hallmark of this series. And Hulk has everything under chaotic control, an oxymoron only Hulk is capable of.

Comments: The Immortal Hulk last battled the Avengers in issue #7. The inkers are Ruy Jose and Belardino Brabo.
