Synopsis

Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #403 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 3 stars

Juggernaut captures the Hulk and delivers him to a hidden stronghold deep within the Amazon, now under the control of the Red Skull. There, the telepathic villain Mentallo manipulates Hulk’s psyche, implanting a cruel illusion: Juggernaut is now perceived as Hulk’s long-dead father, a figure of trauma and unresolved rage.

Under this hypnotic influence, Hulk becomes a weapon of misdirected vengeance. When the AvengersBlack Knight, Vision, Hercules, Crystal, and Sersi—arrive on the scene, they find themselves facing not just a hostile force, but a Hulk twisted by grief and suggestion. The ensuing battle is fierce and emotionally charged, as Hulk lashes out under false pretenses, unaware that he’s being used as a pawn in a larger scheme.
