Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Thor #156 Synopsis by Marvel Comics
Thor fights back but Mangog casts him away, throwing him against a mountainside. The Warriors Three then engage Mangog in battle.

At the royal palace, Loki plans to combine his mystical powers with Karnilla's to defeat Mangog but only after Thor is slain. However, he is shaken when he learns that Mangog has decimated his Elite Guard.

Meanwhile, the recovering Thor creates a cyclone to strike Mangog, then causes the ground to erupt like a volcano beneath Mangog's feet. He uses the respite to take a safe perch with the Warriors Three.

At that moment, the Recorder arrives in Asgard. Thor and the Warriors Three watch from a distance as Mangog rises from the volcano. Thor sends the fury of the storm to wash Mangog away.

In Karnilla's cavern, Balder continues his battle with the Legion of the Lost, while, in Odin's bedchamber, the Recorder tells Sif that Mangog intends to draw the Odinsword. Sif goes to the Odinsword chamber to guard it as Thor discovers that Mangog still lives.
