Story #3

Passing the Torch

Writer/Penciler/Inker: Fred Hembeck. Colorist: Chris Giarrusso.

Synopsis

By Peter Silvestro
Rating: 3 stars
The former villain known as the Acrobat, Carl Zante, tells about his days as Captain America: how he became the enemy of the Human Torch (STRANGE TALES #106), and, after his defeat, sought revenge by impersonating the (supposedly) long-dead hero Captain America at an auto show, of all places (STRANGE TALES #114). This scheme turned out to be as stupid as the first one, and while he has some misplaced pride in his "tenure" as Cap, his life went off the rails and deservedly so.

Characters
Good (or All)
Acrobat (Carl Zante).
