Hardball and his team, the Heavy Hitters, prepare for the
arrival of Juggernaut, possessed by Kuurth, Breaker of Stone, in Las Vegas. He
arrives in his path of destruction and Nonstop leads him to the trap they have
set, ending with the massive monster falling into a deep pit. But he is out of
the pit in seconds, ready for mayhem….
Prodigy phones Gravity who persists in refusing to go back
into the battle, blaming himself for Geiger’s nearly being killed; he hangs up.
Prodigy then must deal with the mysterious federal agents locked in Thor Girl’s
cell, threatening him with vague repercussions….
Unable to stop Juggernaut, Hardball considers giving him a
boost just to get him out of the city; he delivers a blast but the villain
doesn’t go far enough….
Thor Girl and Cloud 9 arrive in Philadelphia; the Liberteens,
having heard that they are fugitives, try to capture them but the two escape.
The Liberteens, whose attempt to capture them was half-hearted, go back to
fighting the real enemy….
The Heavy Hitters pursue Juggernaut through the city’s storm
drains until they encounter a group of homeless people who won’t leave.
Hardball considers them to have chosen their fate and creates an energy sphere,
detonating it in Juggernaut’s face….
The rest of the world is in shock, watching the TV signal go
out and in Las Vegas, Juggernaut steps out of the rubble and runs off. And half
of the city has been leveled….
