Hulk #424 marks the beginning of the “Fall of the Pantheon” arc, as long-buried secrets erupt into open conflict.
At the Mount, Agamemnon finally stands trial before the Pantheon, with Hulk presiding over the indictment. The charges are grave: Agamemnon admits to forging a pact with the Troyjans, trading the lives of his descendants for immortality. He also confesses to orchestrating the assassination of the previous Ulises, sending Achilles to carry out the deed.
The Pantheon, shaken by the betrayal, sentences Agamemnon to imprisonment. But the former leader has no intention of surrendering quietly. In a final act of defiance, he summons the Endless Knights—a deadly force of cybernetic warriors loyal only to him—with orders to annihilate the Mount and everyone within it.
