Incredible Hulk, The (1968 series) #435

Under the alias Bob Danner, the Hulk is recruited by the Florida Pistols, a professional baseball team. To conceal his identity, Betty Ross paints his skin black, allowing him to pass as a mysterious new player. Quickly, Bob becomes a sensation, drawing crowds and earning the nickname “The Mighty Bob” as the Pistols rack up win after win.

The streak continues until the team faces a rival squad featuring none other than the Rhino. The game escalates into a full-blown brawl between the two gamma-powered titans, disrupting the match and sending shockwaves through the stadium.

Though Hulk defeats the Rhino in combat, the spectacle proves too much for the league. The Pistols fire Bob Danner, ending his brief but unforgettable run as baseball’s most powerful player.
