Inside, Logan and David Colton are fighting the Nuke clone while Tyler Torrens gets away to seek revenge against CEO Nick Pruet. Nuke and his team arrive while Tyler cuts his way through the guards to enter Pruet’s office. He demands that Pruet take away the Adamantium additions or he will destroy the Mystery Box. Pruet promises they can give him a device that will dampen his mutant gene and make him normal again….

Nuke and his men arrive and open fire on Logan, killing the Nuke clone and Colton ends up in a standoff with Nuke. Dave tells Nuke that if he is another super-soldier, he’ll want to make the bad guys pay for what they did to him. So he’s going to find Logan and they are going to save Tyler and Dave tells Nuke he can come along or go away but Dave is not going to let him stop them….

Wolverine enters Pruet’s office and Tyler, who doesn’t know Logan, traps him in his Adamantium coils. Logan warns him about the Box which Pruet says has Multiversal energy and can make a person more powerful than anything on the planet. Logan and Dave Colton warn him not to listen to Pruet: if he has something that can dampen mutant powers it will take away Tyler’s healing power and the Adamantium in his body will kill him. But Tyler just wants to kill Pruet and Logan wans him that he won’t be able to live with the guilt. Nuke enters and shoots Pruet in the head. And then the rest of the Nuke clones come crashing in. The three good guys smash through the big window and fight the pursuing bad guys outside in the snow. Nuke blows up his first clone. Logan tosses the shield to Colton who can’t pick it up and one of the Nuke clones shoots him through the chest….

Then: Dave Colton receives a visit from Steve Rogers, the original Captain America, who tells Dave they should never have sent him on that mission to Latveria after his traumatic time in Iraq. No one understands what super-soldiers go through. David confesses his fears that he could never live up to Cap’s name; Steve apologizes, telling him he never had to and leaves him the shield….

Logan stands over the mortally wounded Dave Colton and, in an act of desperation, he opens the Mystery Box….

Later, Logan works with Tyler, showing him how his bloodlust could be contained. Colton tells Logan that he sought power and used it poorly; maybe that’s the secret: not wanting the powers makes you the person to have them. Logan apologizes for using the Box but he couldn’t let Colton die. Dave shrugs and then flies off to get more lumber….

Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon (2026 series) #4 Review by (August 25, 2026)

Review: So Wolverine’s name is attached to this prologue to the big AVENGERS ARMAGEDDON event and there lot of mutant and super-soldier talk going on plus a great deal of violence (duh, Wolverine!). The chief purpose is to explain how Dave Cap, initially a traumatized former super-soldier, now has the power to punch Captain Marvel’s lights out. Decent enough miniseries manages to keep us entertained while dumping that major plot point on us. Good enough.

Comments: The comic is bannered “Armageddon assembles this summer.” David Colton’s career as Captain America was seen in CAPTAIN AMERICA (2025) #1-5. Issue includes a tribute to the late Jacopo Camagni, Italian artist who also worked for Marvel.
