Black Widow (2014 series) #11

Black Widow and X-23 walk into a casino in Macau to be greeted by Tori Raven. Tori outlines the situation: Natasha is there to rescue her lawyer Isaiah Ross from the clutches of Chaos. So he is being held on the top floor with a multitude of tough guys in between. So Nat and Laura prepare to bring them hell….

Upstairs, Rashid waits for Black Widow to arrives. Isaiah tries to warn him that he is dealing with an assassin, a SHIELD agent, an Avenger. Rashid is not impressed….

X-23 steps out of the elevator and a cadre of guards opens fire, cutting her down. Meanwhile, Natasha scales the building outside to the top. X-23 rises and cuts a bloody swath through the bad guys. Once she is in place at the door to the room, Nat crashes in through the window but no one is there. A bomb is set to go off. Laura cuts out a chunk of wall to protect them as the bomb explodes. In the street, Tori Raven has her chauffeur take her away. On the roof, Rashid and a guard with Isaiah in tow head for a helicopter. Natasha bursts into the copter as X-23 wrecks the blades, sending the copter crashing on the edge of the roof. Laura stops Nat from attacking the guard, sending her after Rashid and Isaiah while Laura questions the guy. As Rashid hangs over a drop, Nat stops Isaiah from killing him; she wants information. Rashid responds, “They didn’t tell me this part was going to happen…” then he drops into a pool far down as the copter dislodges and Isaiah pulls Nat to safety….

On their way back to the States, Nat is pondering Rashid’s last words and still wanting to make the bad guys pay. She thanks Laura because she needed someone angrier than she was….

In Hong Kong, Tori Raven has a call from Chaos who are disappointed with how it turned out. Tori says that she did what she was paid to do, the outcome was not her responsibility. They tell her to stay available for their next moves….
