Flashback: Donald Blake spends his life walking the idyllic streets of an artificial town, when the Midgard Serpent appears to him, seeking to take his soul and fill his skin as a disguise….

Now: The eyeless and sinister Blake confronts Sigurd Jarlson in Dario Agger’s office after the Roxxon CEO has fallen to his death in the street below. Blake tries to work out how to save Sigurd from the security guards who are on their way because he wants Sigurd’s soul, a soul worthy of a god. He taunts Sigurd, trying to get him to admit he had fleeting memories of being Thor before dropping the bombshell that Sigurd is not the reincarnation of Thor but of Donald Blake. Sigurd hits him in the face with his hammer and sees the giant eye of the Midgard Serpent looking out at him. The massive Serpent bursts through the Blake shell and makes to eat Sigurd, who leaps through the window and employs his bungee cord to stop his deadly fall. But once on the ground he is arrested by police on suspicion of murder….

Not far away, Kris Seok waits as Sigurd never shows up for their date. Lukki walks by and they banter about Sigurd and bungee cords and New York until Odin arrives, denouncing Lukki for his mischief, pointing upward. They can’t see anything so Odin grants them the Mimir-Sight and they see the Midgard Serpent in the sky, which Odin calls Lukki’s progeny….
