Original Sin #7 Review by (August 16, 2014)
Review: The final issue promises to be epic as we learn who and what killed the Watcher, uncover his final secret, and learn who will be the new “Man in the Wall.” And I want to know what happened to Thor—I’d been assuming he would lose his worthiness in his tie-in issues. The issue isn’t perfect: there are too many characters to follow, especially in the space battle where their faces are obscured by helmets but then most of them have nothing to do anyway. The big problem ties into that one: it’s hard to tell who’s who with darker art than Deodato has provided thus far; I had to identify people from their dialogue and then backtrack to see who was doing what. Here’s hoping for a big finish to this pretty cool if cluttered miniseries

Original Sin #7 Review by (August 17, 2014)
August 13th:- AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #5 Spidey and Silk are connected via the Ezekiel/Morlun version of Spider-Man's origin. And this means they fall immediately in lust with each other. DEADPOOL #33 DP saves his newly-discovered daughter, and I believe we learn who his parents were, but I haven't got the issue so I can't tell you. FANTASTIC FOUR #8 Thing is arrested for the murder of Puppet Master. The compelling circumstantial evidence says he did it, but we didn't actually *see* the deed. (And James Robinson starts to link the series in with All-New Invaders.)

August 6th:- ORIGINAL SIN #3.4 Intelligent Hulk defeats Iron Man in his Hulkbuster armour, but then stops when he learns what Tony *actually* did to the Gamma Bomb. Apparently Banner's extra shielding would actually have made the Bomb *more* powerful, so Stark removing it saved Banner's life. They part as friends, but Tony doesn't tell Bruce what was in the e-mail he sent that Banner deleted without reading all those years ago. It pointed out that the Bomb emitted mutagenic radiation, which is probably what caused the Hulk. ORIGINAL SIN #5.3 While Thor and Angela fight, the Angel Queen tells Loki her side of the story. Odin paid the Angels to protect early humans from boisterous Asgardians. Later Asgard's enemies paid the Queen to betray Odin. But that's OK because she then offered to betray *them* for even more money. Odin thought this was dishonourable, and the war began. Now Angela captures Thor, and the Queen reveals her new ally - Loki as a female.

July 30th:- AVENGERS #33 delayed from 23/7. Captain America continues alone into the future, and ends the war between Planet Ultron and the future Worldcore. Even less to do with OS than the previous issues. ORIGINAL SIN #3.3 delayed from 23/7. Iron Man and intelligent Hulk fight in Stark's city Troy, which turns out to be full of transforming buildings. We inch closer to finding out exactly what Tony Stark did to the Gamma Bomb that created Hulk. UNCANNY X-MEN #24 Prof X's will reveals that he married Mystique, which may cause some legal problems. But apparently that's not the end of the secrets involved.

DAREDEVIL #6 DD learned from the Eye that his father beat his mother, which explains why she left him to become a nun. But when he goes to see her about it he finds she's been extradited to Wakanda. DEADPOOL #32 DP takes a direct hand in saving the daughter he didn't know he had. And Agent Adsit finds out what happened to DP's parents. ORIGINAL SIN #5.2 After a movie-plug appearance by Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and young Loki face the angry Angels of Heven. Loki may or may not betray Thor, who comes face-to-face with his unknown sister Angela. ORIGINAL SINS #4 In the stand-alone story the Watcher's Eye showed a greedy broker a secret of Dr Doom. The broker takes extreme precautions before trying to blackmail Doom. You can guess it doesn't end well for him. The Young Avengers trio finally realise that Hood has been conning them. But his demonic power proves too much for them. In the 2-pager an Inuit man remembers he once as a lad pissed on frozen Captain America. But I don't think the Eye has anything to do with it.

July 23rd:- Starting with 2 put back from earlier weeks. MIGHTY AVENGERS #12 delayed from 2 weeks ago. The '70's Mighty Avengers with Luke Cage's dad, Blade and Blue Marvel continue to fight the Deathwalkers. AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #4 delayed from the previous week. The Watcher's Eye shows Spider-Man that someone else was bitten by the radioactive spider. She's been in suspended animation since then, and now she takes on the name Silk.

I've nothing to add to Peter's synopsis this time except details of tie-ins. There's 4 weeks worth this time:-

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Original Sin #7 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro

Flashback: Dr Midas and his gang arrived on the moon to rob the Watcher; Uatu spotted them and there was an explosion….

Now: Nick Fury, armored and bearing the advanced weaponry he wields as the "Man in the Wall" is battling the combined might of the Avengers in space—and he’s winning. Hulk goes crashing to the surface of the moon, stunned. Captain America, Iron Man, and Black Widow appeal to him to explain why he is acting this way but Fury refuses to answer, knowing that they wouldn’t understand until much later. Inside the space station, the heroes assembled by Fury to investigate the Watcher’s murder are debating what to do while wondering if any of them could be secretly working for Fury. At this point, the Orb walks in and blasts them …

…which segues into a flashback to the villains invading Uatu’s home earlier. The Watcher unleashed his wrath but held back because he had foreseen his death. Then the Orb shot him in the face…

Now: Nick Fury tangles with Thor in space; Fury whispers a secret in the Thunder God’s ear and suddenly Thor crashes into the moon and is now unable to lift Mjolnir. Fury then speaks the code that overrides Tony Stark’s control of his armor, sending Iron Man speeding toward Earth. As Cap continues to beg for an explanation, Fury grabs the Watchers’ eyes and takes off. The villains arrive on the moon; Orb blasts Hulk again and plans to learn the Watcher’s last secret—the one that killed him…. Fury arrives at the Watcher’s base unaware that he is being observed by seven other Watchers….
