Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Thor #186 Synopsis by Marvel Comics
As Odin battles Infinity he sense Don Blake's distress and stalls the Guardian with a bolt of energy, giving Blake time to reunite with the arriving Mjolnir.

Thor bests the Guardian, but Infinity keeps reviving him with blasts from space until Thor seals the Guardian within a Mjolnir-generated shield of force.

Thor finds Odin but the Silent One bars his path. Odin tells Thor not to attack the Silent One who gestures at him to follow. Thor grudgingly agrees.

Catastrophes continue to erupt on Earth while, in Asgard, the Warriors Three attempt to unsheathe the Odinsword but are beaten by Sif, Balder, and Odin's palace guard.

Meanwhile, the Silent One leads Thor to Hela, his mistress, who uses her power to age him rapidly. However, the Silent One is moved by Thor's imminent death and gives his strength to Thor, restoring him to full health and apparently dying in his stead.

Meanwhile, Odin sees Infinity's face. When Thor returns, Odin attacks him. He, too, has now been possessed by Infinity.
