In Cimarron, New Mexico, Walrus is sneaking into people’s
homes at night to scare them; they call the police only to reach Deadpool who
responds with sinister threats. ‘Pool, as the Spectre of Mass Destruction,
advises Walrus on how to terrorize the town. They break into another house but
when Deadpool sees the little girl has a room full of Deadpool merchandise, he
changes his mind…until he finds her brother collects Cable merch so he changes
his mind back and Walrus wrecks the Cable room….
Larry and Marv are here revealed to be werewolf hunters on their
way to Cimarron as we see Walrus smashing people’s antennas and satellite dishes….
In the morning there is a lot of fear and outrage at a town meeting
as people demand the mayor do something. A band of men with guns confront the
Walrus but the Spectre of Mass Destruction tells Walrus he can unlock his full
potential by hitting the X marked on the ground. He does, detonating buried
dynamite and discouraging heroes. ‘Pool takes his leave and the Walrus
continues his reign of terror….
At the Society for the Advancement of Lycanthropic Kind,
leader Sir Lupos has his advisors determining whether it is safe to attack Cimarron that
night under a full moon but they cannot answer as they don’t know the location
of the magic hammer….
As Walrus goes on his spree of destruction, Deadpool
initiates the second part of his plan by riding into town (on a stolen horse)
and offering to get rid of the Walrus for a fee. The little fangirl demands the
Mayor hire Deadpool, offering him the town’s cache of Confederate gold. The
deal is made and before he can de-horse, Walrus hits him out of nowhere and,
after brief pause for healing, the fight is on….
Sir Lupos receives a call from an agent telling him that
Larry and Marv are on their way to Cimarron but they have lost the hammer….
Deadpool easily defeats Walrus indoors but then ‘Pool drags
his foe out into the light of the full moon—and the hammer is suddenly powered
up, enabling Walrus to take down Deadpool with one blow….
