As
Hulk tries to smash through a door Bruce Banner has imprisoned him behind,
Betty Ross Banner pleads with Bruce, warning him that the Hulk cannot be contained.
Bruce is angry and upset because he knows Hulk is immortal but he is not, so he
is going to use the time left before his personality is completely absorbed in
the Hulk to explore, pushing the boundaries. He chases Betty out of his head
and seats himself in the captain’s chair….
Doctor Strange speaks to the assembled Avengers, warning them about Bruce Banner’s current
project. Captain America has Iron Man tracking Hulk now; Strange explains that
Bruce is using stolen A.I.M. tech to turn Hulk into a starship, piloted by
Bruce….
Iron Man has caught up to Hulk, augmented with space tech, at a Stark armory. Tony
has three drone-operated Iron Men by his side to unleash his newest defenses on
Hulk. Shellhead fires a capsule containing Adamantium nanoparticle shrapnel
which burrows into Hulk’s skin and builds a cage around him. Inside, Bruce
ramps up Hulk’s anger by confronting him with infinite armies in his mind. Hulk
goes into a rage and tears apart the Adamantium cage and beats up Iron Man,
wrecking the armor. What Hulk is after is Tony’s Project A.R.K., a Celestial that
creates a gateway to a pocket universe in case Earth needed to be evacuated during
the war with the King in Black. Against Tony’s warnings that the gateway is
untested, Hulk steps through; Bruce muses that he is no longer controlled by
his anger but fueled by it….
