Nova relates the events of Quasar and Kayla with the Starbrand etc. Nova is left behind to deal with something the Starblasters left behind and too fast for him to handle himself. Strange advises him to track it and he will send someone to help. So Nova goes after the mystery object and Northstar is there ahead of him, catching up to the object which is a huge robot. Distracted by Nova, Northstar is knocked out of the sky by the robot which takes off. Nova and Northstar bicker then take off after the robot, catching up to it as it tries to destroy the Capitol dome in Washington D.C. The robot defeats both of them and while bickering, they attack again and are defeated again. Then Dr. Strange arrives with Professor Hulk. Hulk smashes the robot to pieces in a single double-page spread. Then Hulk sees that Strange has departed, leaving him to walk home….

Interlude: The injured Geatar is floating helplessly through space when a craft arrives next to him and a hand reaches out to draw him into the ship. Geatar then discovers that his rescuer is Thanos….

Review / Commentaries

Secret Defenders, The (1993 series) #11 Review by (June 24, 2025)

Review: I had never heard of this minor crossover event and this installment is clearly of minor importance to the event. It centers on the team member who was left behind to deal with a detail and Nova and Northstar try to fight the robot while bickering until Hulk arrives, takes care of the matter and leaves. Wow. I can’t imagine that skipping this issue will affect one’s enjoyment of STARBLAST any more than it affects THE SECRET DEFENDERS. A singularly useless issue.

Comments: Tie-in to the STARBLAST event. The Sanctum Sanctorum was destroyed in battle with the Lilin in DOCTOR STRANGE, SORCERER SUPREME #60-61
