Hulk arrives at the mountain cabin in Colorado where Doc Samson and Thunderbolt Ross were staying. Only Doc Samson is there, injured, lying on the floor (after his battle with Woodgod). He tells the Hulk that the Changelings kidnapped Betty Ross, Rick Jones, Fred Sloan and Thunderbolt Ross.

Hulk goes to save his friends. When he gets to the Changelings town, they attack him. Meanwhile, Centaurus, the Changeling that was hurt, shot accidentally by Ross, is very ill. Woodgod gave him a healing elixir. But Leoninus secretly poisoned it and Centaurus dies.
