Planet Hulk - Armageddon (Part 2 of 2)

Synopsis

Incredible Hulk (2000 series) #105 synopsis by reviewer Julio MM
Rating: 5 stars

The compromised nuclear core of the ship that brought the Hulk to Sakaar explodes with the force of an atomic bomb. The blast annihilates Crown City, killing thousands—including the Shadow Elders, Elloe’s mother, and Caiera the Oldstrong, who had married the Hulk just three days earlier… and was expecting their child (!!).

The Hulk watches his wife die in his arms. Her final words: *“I will never leave you.”* Consumed by grief, he unleashes his rage on the ground, hurling massive debris like it weighs nothing. He believes the ship—the so-called Worldbreaker—is partly to blame. But not as much as those who built it… and used it to exile him.

**The Illuminati.** And now, the Hulk wants **REVENGE.**

The surviving Warbound—Korg, Hiroim, Miek, the Brood, and Elloe—escaped the blast by distance or sheer luck. When they return to the ruins of Crown City, they find the Hulk, eyes full of tears, asking to be left alone.

But they refuse. They’re Warbound. *’Til the end.*

Together, they board the Shadow Elders’ stone starship. Guided by the robot Arch-E-5912, they begin their journey to Earth. Hiroim helps the Hulk forge new armor and a sword.

**Sakaar’s vengeance is coming.**

Incredible Hulk (2000 series) #105 Review by (February 15, 2010)
The Hulk, standing close to ground zero, does not even faint. It is indicated that the bomb has made the Hulk stronger. Caiera the Oldstrong, wife of the Hulk, dies in this issue. She protected the Hulk with her Old Power. It is the end of the Planet Hulk saga.
