Doctor Doom rescues Bruce Banner, in persecution by the police.

The genius villain takes Banner to his Latverian embassy, which gets surrounded by the army. General Thunderbolt Ross and Major Glenn Talbot are in command; Betty Ross and Doc Samson are also there.

Doctor Doom sends a Hulk robot to trick the army. A big blast destroys it, making everyone believe that the Hulk and Bruce Banner have died.

Meanwhile, Doctor Doom sedates the real Banner with tranquilizers and takes him to Latveria, where, using a subliminal inducer, gets to control the green giant. He wants to use the Hulk as a pawn to conquer the world!
