Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #604 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Bruce Banner takes his son Skaar to Gammaworld for a game of football against Korg, Kate Waynesboro and A-Bomb (Rick Jones) with the intention of teaching the boy about teamwork. Bruce is also interested in valuable information on Skaar that the Leader might have in a nearby secret underground lab which location was revealed to Banner by boy-genius Amadeus Cho. After accessing the lab with Kate, Bruce finds out the Leader has files on someone else: Betty Ross Banner (!).

At that moment, Harpy appears and attacks Banner. Believing she to be Betty, Banner asks everyone not to harm her. But it is Skaar who knocks the bird woman monster to the ground and is about to provide the killing blow. Banner neutralizes Skaar shooting him with his Old Power Taser weapon, and the Harpy turns into... Marlo Chandler, Rick Jones' former wife (!).

Marlo explains that the Leader kidnapped, transformed and mind-controlled her. A-Bomb takes her away, and Skaar turns his back on the father who shot him, and wanted to teach his son about teamwork.

Meanwhile, the Leader discovers about the intrusion and destroys his lab. Kate Waynesboro shows us that her love interest for Banner still exists, by kissing his lips. And Banner, not responding to her affection, finds out that the Fantastic Four are defending New York City from the Mole Man and his giant monsters, the next assignment for father and son!

Story #2

Clash Of Furies (part 4)

Writer: Fred Van Lente. Penciler: Michael Ryan. Inker: Michael Ryan. Colorist: Guru-eFX.

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Aberration, Axon, and Morass were all U.S. military personnel with death convictions. The world believes they are dead. Ryker saved them, and provided their super powers. This story reveals info about the first two.

Aberration's real name is Rana Philips (Private). She participated in a systematic abuse of prisoners, which she claims were organized by Sergeant Jeffrey Ivey, her boyfriend. Ivey left Philips for another woman, and she killed him.

Axon's real name is Erin Cicero (staff Sergeant). She was deeply affected by terrible experiences in the field, and at her home, confused her husband and kids with insurgents, killing them. She also took down several police officers who arrived at the scene.

Lyra (the Hulk's daughter from the future) is fighting Aberration. She tosses the female villain to a gas station. The explosion wounds Aberration badly, and her healing power reconstructs her body incorrectly, making her look like a huge, uglier moster. Lyra knocks her unconsciouss, and restores her Boudicca wrist computer.

It's when Axon threatens to kill everyone in town if Lyra does not allow her to absorb her mind and Gamma powers.
