Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #610 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Nearing death, Betty Ross explains Bruce Banner that her father, Thunderbolt Ross (the Red Hulk), allowed the Leader, M.O.D.O.K. and Doc Samson to revive her because they were the only ones who could. But they turned her into a gamma spawned monster, the Red She-Hulk. She liked being savage but may end up killing the ones she loves, like Ross or Banner so she prefers to die. Then Doc Samson enters the room and makes her mad. She turns into her hulkish self and lands her anger on the one who helped the villains made her a monster.

But before the Red She-Hulk can knock Samson for good, Amadeus Cho, affected by the Cathexis Ray and turned into a M.O.D.O.K. like creature of red skin, asks Samson if he and the other heroes who were also affected (the so-called Hulked-Out-Heroes), will die in a days time. Samson confirms it, that was the Leader's plan so he could rule the world. Only the Red Hulk, the Red She-Hulk and A-Bomb were his stable subjects.

Banner rescues Reed Richards, Hank Pym (Ant-Man), Hank McCoy (Beast) and T'challa (Black Panther), four of the smartest ones there are from the simulator to help save the H.O.H.  Skaar, Red She-Hulk and A-Bomb leave to ship to help the She-Hulk and Lyra defend the White House.

The Leader and M.O.D.O.K. attack the heroes with new versions of Humanoids. But Amadeus, with his hulked out brain, distorts the laws of physics and rescues the heroes. It's Amadeus vs M.O.D.O.K. now. The boy genius wins, and then reconstructs the villain's body into that of a regular sized man. The other geniuses with Samson are able to revert the effects of the Cathexis Ray, extracting the gamma radiation from all the affected heroes (which saves them), and transport that enormous energy into the only one capable of absorbing such amount: Bruce Banner.

The Cathexis Ray machinery overloads but Doc Samson sacrifices himself to allow the process to finish; this kills Samson. The heroes abandon the Hellcarrier seconds before it soundly crashes to the ground. But from the fire a figure stands and roars: It's the Incredible Hulk, he's back!

Watched closely by the Red She-Hulk, Skaar, sword in hand, walks to his hated father to apply a mortal blow.
