Incredible Hulk #606 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
While the people in New York hail Skaar for saving them from the Mole Man and Tyrannus, Uatu the Watcher appears to see Bruce Banner's reaction at discovering his "defunct" wife, Betty Ross, among the crowds. Mr. Fantastic thinks it's a trick, but Banner tech indicates that otherwise.

Banner teleports to where the Red Hulk is, and asks him about Betty. But his answers are vague, and hurt him "You're the one she always hated" he says. Banner teleports again, this time to Latveria, his heart pumping rapidly, his eyes turning green... A great sound is heard in town, and Doctor Doom is attacked by a large green Hulk!

... But it's not the "real" one, but the Cosmic Hulk, sent by the Intelligencia to kidnap Doom. The armored villain defends well from the powerful cosmic vessel created by Galactus. But Skaar appears to stop him because Skaar want's to be The one to kill his father. Using magic, Doom causes Skaar to revert to his childlike frame, and when he's about to strike the killing blow, Bruce Banner saves his son.

Doom tries using his spells against Banner... but fails. When Doom absorbed the energy from the Cosmic Hulk, he got a "radiant neural anesthesizer" implanted by the Leader, which retards his mental activity. Doom's now unable to remember the spells, or properly use his armor. The Cosmic Hulk grabs him, and takes him away.

Alone with his son, Banner tells him that he wants to help him. But the kid believes that Banner only cares about Betty Ross, doing to anyone anything for her sake, and turns into Skaar. So Banner gives his son a new assignment: To save the Avengers, who are under the surprise attack of the Red She-Hulk!

Synopsis / Summary / Plot

The Leader is worried that his creation, the Red She-Hulk, be a weak link in the Intelligencia's plan due to her volatile character, her unexpected brutal behavior, as demonstrated by the video file and Doc Samson's psych evaluation where the She-Hulk fights, and kills someone that looks like the original She-Hulk (Jennifer Walters). But M.O.D.O.K. tells the Leader not to worry too much about it.
