Thor and members of Excalibur (Captain Britain, Meggan, Lockheed,
Shadowcat) are prisoners on a remote planet ruled over by Juggernaut. Juggy
explains how he was rescued from the asteroid where Thor had stranded him by a
passing spaceship and then he deposed Prince Zalaski and took over with the
support of the peasants. The heroes are taken away in their unbreakable prisospheres
but soon rescued by Prince Zaleski and his men….
The Wrecking Crew plot to rescue their captive pal Bulldozer
from Code: Blue….
Prince Zaleski, a real tyrant, demands that Thor help him
defeat Juggernaut, while holding the Excalibur group hostage. Though Zaleski is
no better than Juggernaut, Thor agrees as he considers himself responsible for
Juggy’s being there. Thor then crashes through the palace wall and challenges
Juggy, who is only too happy to respond. Elsewhere, Shadowcat uses her phasing
powers release herself and her teammates from their prison bubbles and
overpower the guards. While Thor mixes it up with his powerful foe, he learns
that Juggy’s powers are magic based, which the villain confirms. So Thor sends
Mjolnir spinning around the building, creating an anti-magic cone, covering the
building. With his powers gone, Juggernaut is no match for Thor and is beaten
down. But when 59 seconds have passed, Thor recalls his hammer, restoring Juggy’s
powers but giving the baddie an idea….
Back on Earth, Rigger and Mad Dog of Code: Blue are driving Bulldozer
to Kennedy Airport to send him to the Vault; their van is attacked by the Wrecker,
throwing it into a cemetery. This is witnessed by Danny Ketch, visiting the
grave of his sister and he transforms into Ghost Rider to take on the Wrecking
Crew….
Back to the Thor/Juggy battle: Juggernaut tries to gain hold
of Mjolnir but he can’t lift it (of course) so Thor spins it, whipping up a
wind and then attaches the strap to Juggy’s wrist and lets go, the hammer
pulling the villain out of the window and into deep space. As the people
despair over the return of Count Zaleski, Thor turns back to Eric Masterson and
exhorts the people to band together and create a republic, punctuating his
theme by resuming his Thor form on return of Mjolnir….
Juggernaut, clutching a tiny asteroid, vows to return to
Earth…somehow….
Ghost Rider clobbers the Wrecking Crew but a blast of
Asgardian power from the Wrecker tears open a dimension, summoning Mephisto….
Loki hears about this and decides he must intervene….
Eric returns to his apartment to be met by a concerned
Susan Austin and Jerry Sapristi who tell him they know his secret….
