Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Captain America #152 Synopsis by Peter Silvestro
On a dark and rainy night, the Falcon intercepts a truck of stolen chemicals and interrogates the driver as to its purchaser, while Captain America continues a fruitless search for Sharon Carter, who is being held hostage by the Scorpion and Mister Hyde in their plan of vengeance against SHIELD.  Back at SHIELD HQ, Nick Fury is approached by Val who tries to explain about their complicated romantic games but Fury cuts her off and walks out. Following a lead from the truck driver, Falcon arrives at an uptown bar in search of a gangster named Morgan. After punching out the gang boss’ flunkies, he forces Morgan to tell him where to find his employer—Mister Hyde. Cap changes back to his police uniform and drops by the station house to learn the shocking news that Sgt. Muldoon has been suspended on suspicion of corruption. Later on patrol, Steve spots Redwing and follows the bird to a meeting with the Falcon. Steve dons his Cap outfit and the two head to the villains’ hideout. They break in and Cap engages the Scorpion while Falcon frees Sharon. As Cap battles his one foe, Hyde appears to join in the battle. The brute tries to break Cap’s shield and is stunned to find he can’t. Despite Sharon’s pleading, Falcon refuses to get involved in the fight, as this is something Cap must prove to himself. Cap entangles Scorpion and his lashing tail with a rope and knocks him out. Hyde gets him in a bear hug which Cap breaks with a pair of karate chops, and then Cap drops the brute with a punch to the face. Cap and Sharon head off together as, in Queens, Sgt. Muldoon returns home to break the news to his wife that he is suspected of taking bribes.
