Rating: 5 stars

Hulk and Rick Jones are dispatched by the Pantheon as reinforcements to the war-torn nation of Trans-Sabal, a desert country gripped by the iron rule of the tyrant Farnoq. The Pantheon’s forces are struggling, overwhelmed by war robots supplied covertly by S.H.I.E.L.D., tipping the balance in Farnoq’s favor.

But Hulk, unleashed on the battlefield, turns the tide. With raw power and relentless fury, he dismantles the robotic army piece by piece, leveling the technological advantage and giving the Pantheon a fighting chance.

Desperate to maintain control, Farnoq appeals to the United States, painting the Pantheon as a destabilizing threat. In response, the U.S. deploys X-Factor, a government-sponsored mutant team, to contain both Hulk and the Pantheon. The stage is set for a tense confrontation between super-powered factions, each with conflicting loyalties and agendas.

Back in the States, Betty Ross receives a mysterious phone call. On the other end is a woman claiming to be Rick Jones’ mother—a revelation that casts doubt on Rick’s past and hints at secrets long buried. As war rages abroad, personal histories begin to unravel at home.
