Synopsis / Summary / Plot

Incredible Hulk #229 Synopsis by Julio Molina-Muscara
Moonstone wakes up in the Hulk's arms as Karla Sofen. Hulk sees the girl and lets her go. When Doc Samson starts questioning the green giant, Moonstone sees her identity in danger and causes a big explosion. But the explosion threatens to harm her and the Hulk saves her from it. The moment is captured by TV cameras that were shooting the scene. Hulk's heroic act is seen live on national television. Unnoticed, Moonstone shoots a beam to the green giant's back and the Hulk goes mad. Doc Samson tries holding him but Moonstone shows up and a big fight begins. The savage Hulk acts like a monster in front of the TV audience. Suddenly, Thunderbolt Ross tries stopping the Hulk. But he sees how Moonstone turns into Karla Sofen. The villain takes advantage of the general's fragile state and switches back and forth between her identities until she causes Ross a nervous breakdown. Hulk sees how Ross faints and angrily grabs Karla. Doc Samson thinks the Hulk is trying to hurt her and jells madly at him. Hulk leaps away to avoid more conflicts.
