Black Widow (2014 series) #5 Review by (August 20, 2025)

Review: Nat mainly talks about good and bad intel through this issue, continuing a transition from existential matters in her narration to professional. There’s a very nice action scene at the airport to keep us interested, the mystery of the passenger, and the return of an old baddie.

The most creative bit is Nat’s informant, Tori Raven who, instead of being the typical ratty little man, looks like the head of a fashion company or a jet-setting heiress. And her smooth conversations with Nat betray no fear or uncertainty as though she is preternaturally in command.

Comments: Part two of three parts. First appearance of Tori Raven.
