Unable to escape by his own means from such depth, the Hulk sees no option but to follow Captain Omen submarine, as a slave, on foot on the ocean floor. They provide him with a new breathing helmet once in a while, with the threat of containing poison gas if he disobeys.

Suddenly, one of the large men, servants of Omen, calls the Hulk from behind sea-weed, while another replaces the green giant as the submarine follower; Omen could not distinguish the change because of the craft’s camera being tampered with.

They take the Hulk inside the Infra-World (the submarine’s name) where a group of servants, commanded by Filius, Omen’s son, is planning their escape from the Captain’s long tyranny to the surface world they never met. They believe the Hulk can aid us to get free, so they call him their savior, their God! Secretly, one servant who is worried a monster would lead us, informs of the upcoming revolt to Omen.

When the Hulk and Filius group attack, Omen frees a blue man-fish beast called Aquon who takes on the Hulk. The fight between these two powerhouses eventually causes a breach in the hull, flooding the submarine!

Omen and his son successfully fix the problem, and while Aquon is drifted outside, the Hulk remains in the vessel, flipping the victory to Filius side. Defeated, Captain Omen does as his son and group wanted, go up to the surface.

Free at last, Filius and his group enter a deserted tropical island along with the Hulk. But moments later, each sea-depth dweller suffers the terrible effects of low-pressure. As the air in their blood system expands, they literally explode! Even the Hulk gets horrified by such a tragic event!

Filius is the only one able to reach the Infra-World, but Omen does not let him in, his craft sealed to prevent those still inside to meet the same fatal end. And as the Infra-World submerges, a father leaves his son to die uttering a contradictory farewell, “Despite everything, I love you”...

Meanwhile, Colonel John Armbruster and Major Glenn Talbot prepare for a secret mission to rescue Thunderbolt Ross, currently a prisoner in Russia.

Also in this story: Betty Ross, Nick Fury.
